The town of Mendocino is absolutely beautiful. It is about an hour and a half away and there are many beaches there, it is a gorgeous and peaceful town with a lovely downtown area with great food and shops- and the beaches aren't too crowded. -and the road from here to there will go through beautiful redwood forests.
