Water Tubing
Tubing, or inner tubing, uses an inflated inner tube that you ride on top of

Easy Day by Water
There are so many areas around us to enjoy a picnic by the water. Please see the below resources of bodies of water near us.
Water Rafting
Rafting and whitewater rafting use an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other body of water with different degrees of rough water .(therefore dealing with risk is part of the experience)
Fishing
Lake Mendocino has catfish, crappie, bluegill, and sunfish.
Clear Lake in Lake County has bass, crappie, catfish, and other fish.
Bluelake has trout, including rainbow trout.
In the ocean you can find lingcod, cabezone, kelp greenlings, perch, etc. If you go out on a boat you can also find different kinds of rockfish.
To get to the ocean you can take the 101 N. to Willits, the 20 W. to Fort Bragg.This is a more modern and beautiful drive. Or you can also take the 101 S. to the 253 toward Anderson Valley, you will drive through wine country until Mendocino. This is a more rustic, more antique, beautiful drive.

Distance: On the 101 South, about 30 minutes from us.
Description: There are several holes, or areas that are deep enough for kayaking, swimming, and even diving.

Distance: About 36 minutes from us via US-101 N
Description: This year the water level is very low. It is located just north-east of Ukiah in the heart of Mendocino County’s wine country and near the gateway to the redwoods.

Mill Creek
Distance: About 33 minutes from us via US-101 N
Description: Mill Creek Park is located outside the town of Talmage (immediately east of Ukiah). Mill Creek Park is home to a mixed forest of oak, madrone, bay, and other indigenous trees.

Distance: About an hour north.
Description: Good for sailing boats, but we do not recommend it for swimming. The water is not as clear and clean as in Blue Lakes
